I was honored to be presented with awards from the NYS Veterans Council and the PEF Veteran’s Council for my work on the veteran’s pension bill. I am humbled by their thoughts because they are the true heroes, the ones who put themselves in harm’s way so that we may live safely. My work on their behalf was my way of honoring and thanking them because they deserve it.

While Pleasantville is not in her district, these students approached her about introducing legislation that would prohibit the use of elephants in any type of entertainment act in New York State two years after it becomes law.
